The Hard Rock Harlots series by Kendall Grey is the raunchiest roller coaster ride I've ever been on. I didn't want to get off—well, the ride that is. ;)
From the first page of Strings, through the belly of Beats, to the knock you on your ass raw Nocturnes, I was transported into the down and dirty life of rock stars and the people who love them.
I've loved all three books and posted a review for Strings (the others will follow shortly. I promise!), but by far I connected the most with Rax in Nocturnes. He's not only a bad boy, but a self proclaimed dick. He's not nice and he freely admits it, but inside he's yearning for the love he thinks he lost and the one he thinks got away.
The descriptions of the characters bring to mind a few of my own fantasies portrayed on the big screen. Rax is flat out molten lava in tight pants. The dude has a snake tattooed on his body—in all the right places. He's a Dom who isn't afraid to be someone's bitch when the mood strikes, sort of like another character.
Yeah, Rax reminds me a little of Tom's Stacee Jaxx but with more spunk, heat and vulnerability.
These are the feelings that get conjured up when I read these books. The sex is dirty, raw, and in your face—and so are the characters. Behind the tough exteriors, we find broken hearts in need of mending and yearning for the one who completes them heart and soul...the one who "gets" them warts and all.
Rax is like my Julia Santos. On the surface readers shouldn't root for them. They're bad to the bone. They hurt the people who loved and trusted them—repeatedly. Both end up rock bottom before they find their way back to themselves and to the ones who love them. Both have to forgive themselves for their past mistakes before they can move on.
Rax's heart belongs to the stripper Eve. She's just as damaged as he is but together the two of them make beautiful music in and out of the bedroom. Their story is one of triumph over the barriers we put up around our hearts to keep from getting hurt.
Here's the blurb and right off the bat you'll see why I LOVE THESE BOOKS!

WARNING: NOCTURNES addresses serious topics such as alcoholism, prostitution, and cheating. If you're looking for a barrel of laughs or sunshine and rainbows, this is NOT the book for you.
Rax Wrathbone is the dirty rock star you love to hate. The filthy fantasy slithering through your bed sheets. The serpent in your lady garden. The snake bite in your panties that keeps you sweating all night. He. Is. Sex.
And he's no good. For anyone.
After a nasty breakup with his best friend and their band's drummer, Rax is flying solo for the first time in years. Who needs the drama of commitment when the line for your humping booth spans three city blocks? No, groupies and liquor are far finer company than relationships, and they don't leave bruises after they've had their way with you. At least not lasting ones.
Rax's new adventures as an alcoholic, guitar-slashing one-man show are going along swimmingly until the only woman who's ever brought him to his knees shimmies down a pole back into his life. Eve doesn't abide excessive drinking, she has sex with strangers for a living, and she can't remember Rax's name to save her life.
She's perfect in every way.
Now, if he could just get sober long enough to forget his past and convince Eve he's worthy of her future...
If you'd like to live your own rock and roll fantasy, pick up all three of the Hard Rock Harlot's books from Amazon. I'm sure you'll be able to pick up a few ideas to spice up your sex life with your partner...plus one or two more! hehehe Can you think of any place you'd rather be than sandwiched between two heavily tattooed sex machines?
Until next time naughty ones!
